What is the validity period of Domain Control Validation and organization validation for SSL certificates respectively?
- Domain Control Validation (DCV) validity period: 199 days (approximately half a year)
- Organization Validation (OV) validity period: 1 year
This is the maximum validity period currently stipulated by the CA/Browser Forum. Regardless of the actual validity period, after the certificate expires, you must renew it and complete the validation process again before you can continue to use it.
If you need to maintain the continuity of HTTPS services before the certificate expires, it is recommended to pay attention to the certificate expiration time in advance and arrange renewal and reissuance properly.
