In response to the latest compliance requirements of the Google Chrome Root Certificate Program, all CAs will gradually remove the client authentication EKU from publicly trusted TLS certificates. DigiCert, Sectigo, GlobalSign, Certum, and CFCA have released their implementation schedules, which will take effect successively from 2025 to 2027. Please plan your certificate purchase and deployment in advance to avoid browser trust issues.

CFCA (China Financial Certification Authority) will upgrade the intermediate root certificates for OV and EV SSL/TLS certificates starting from June 15, 2026.
