[Change] Announcement on DigiCert's Planned Revocation of Some Intermediate Roots and G5 Cross-Signed Root Certificates in May 2026
Dear Valued Customers and Partners,
Hello! Thank you very much for your continued trust and support in Racent.
According to the official notice from DigiCert, due to adjustments to browser root certificate trust policies, DigiCert plans to officially revoke the following three categories of certificates on May 15, 2026:
- Multi-purpose G2 Intermediate CA (ICA) certificates
- Multi-purpose G3 Intermediate CA (ICA) certificates
- Some G5 cross-signed root certificates
Affected TLS certificates and code signing certificates will fail normal certificate status checks, and may be identified as untrusted by browsers, leading to risks of business interruption. To prevent issues such as business interruption or untrusted certificates for you and your sub-account customers, we hereby notify you of the relevant handling requirements as follows. Please attach great importance to this and implement the measures as soon as possible.
I. Handling of Affected Certificates Related to G2 and G3 ICA Certificates
If you have such certificate orders in your account that require handling, we will communicate with you individually for confirmation. If we do not proactively contact you about certificate replacement, it means your certificates are not within the scope of this impact.
II. Handling of Affected Certificates Related to G5 Cross-Signed Root Certificates
If your certificate trust chain includes the G5 cross-signed root certificates scheduled for revocation, you do not need to reissue the TLS certificates. You only need to contact us to assist you in replacing the cross-signed root CA certificates in the trust chain.
III. Additional Reminder
Please make sure to complete the above operations before May 15, 2026 to ensure all affected certificates are properly handled.
The official DigiCert announcement (Solution ID: ALERT60, last updated on May 06, 2026) provides the detailed list of certificates planned for revocation and information on alternative certificates for your reference. If you encounter technical issues during the operation, you can refer to DigiCert's official additional resources, or contact our technical support team for help at any time.
