Choose an SSL Certificate Based on Validation Type and Security Level
Certificates are divided into three validation types: DV, OV, and EV. DV certificates are mainly suitable for personal websites and some small business websites with low encryption requirements. For enterprise-level users, it is recommended to use OV-level or higher certificates directly. For customers in special industries with the highest encryption requirements, such as banks and financial institutions, EV-level certificates are recommended.
| Certificate Type | Validation Method | Encryption Level | Applicable Website Types |
