What should I do if I lose my private key? Do I need to reapply for a certificate?

If the CSR was generated when applying for a certificate on our platform, you can download the private key again from the order.

However, if the CSR was generated externally, you will need to reapply for a certificate or reissue the certificate.

• To reissue the certificate, you need to generate a new CSR. Once you have a new private key, use the new CSR to reissue the certificate. Please refer to Certificate Reissue Guide
