Remote Code Signing Request Submission

This article details the submission process for remote code signing certificates, covering the organization information, personal information, key storage devices, and CSR filling specifications and precautions required for OV/EV remote code signing, to help you complete your certificate request efficiently.

Application Information Page​

  1. After completing the previous step Remote Code Signing Service, return to the previous page. Click Code Signing Certificate to go to the unified code signing application page.

    Make sure to click the Code Signing Certificate page, not the Remote Code Signing page.

  2. After entering the code signing page, find the code signing certificate you have purchased, click the last Details option for that entry to enter the code signing certificate information submission page.

Submit Request Information​

  1. After entering this page, complete the organization contact information and personal contact information, all information must be authentic and valid.

  2. In the key storage settings section, the platform selects the Racent cloud HSM by default.

  3. Select the CSR generation method, choose the required encryption algorithm and digest algorithm, and generate the CSR.

    Note

    Sectigo code signing certificates do not support the RSA 2048 encryption algorithm.

    Tip

    To ensure the smooth processing of your certificate request, we recommend that you use the system-generated CSR method. Manually entered CSRs do not include the private key, and you will need to manually upload the certificate private key after the certificate is issued, otherwise it cannot be deployed to Racent cloud products. We recommend that you use a system-created CSR to avoid audit failures caused by incorrect content. If you apply for a certificate using a CSR you created yourself, do not delete the CSR before the certificate is issued.

  4. Click the "Submit" option in the lower left corner to submit the certificate request.

Submission Status​

  1. Return to the Code Signing Certificate page, and you can see that the current status of the certificate is Pending Review.

  2. Complete the subsequent verification steps for code signing, such as email confirmation agreement, enterprise verification, etc. The verification steps vary slightly among different brands. If you need help, please contact online customer service.
