Will a change of organization name affect issued certificates?

After a certificate is issued, if the organization name on the certificate request is changed, it will not affect the already issued certificate, and the original organization name will still be displayed on the certificate. If customers want to change the organization name on the certificate, the following certificate types support reissuance to replace the organization name:

1. Sectigo/sslTrus/Positive
2. DigiCert/GeoTrust

Information

1. Certificates of other brands do not support organization name replacement at present. If customers need to change the name, they must apply for a new certificate under the new organization name when submitting their next certificate request.
2. After the new organization name is applied through reissuance, enterprise validation must be completed again.
